We are currently looking for the following.

Agape Care Services provides supports to people living with disability or mental illness in their own homes and community.

Support Workers we are looking for, are people who will work with clients from different walks of life and need support across a variety of different aspects of life.

We are looking for committed, friendly, flexible and caring Support Workers to join our Kelmscott team on a casual or part-time basis.

The role involves assisting clients accessing and participating in their communities.

A typical day, at work will involve some of the following;

  • Taking clients out to places of interest in the community
  • Driving to and assisting clients to pick up their medication from pharmacies
  • Assisting clients to buy their weekly supplies
  • Taking clients to pre-arranged activities that help them achieve their life goals
  • Enabling, encourage and showing clients how to carry out life activities of their choice
  • Taking notes of and writing the daily happenings with the client  
  • Helping with medication where required (You will be trained if required)

Note* You are paid kms and time that you travel between supports 

Depending on the client, you will be expected to work with the clients between 4 and 6 hour per day

What we require;

  1. NDIS worker screening clearance or willingness to obtain one; Agape will assist and cover the cost of the clearance. Note that it is a condition of this role to have been NDIS Worker Screened before starting
  2. While experience working in disabilities is preferred, it is not essential as you will be equipped with the tools and training.
  3. A reliable vehicle and a current driver’s licence are essential
  4. If successful, we require you to go through paid internal training and familiarisation on your first day
  5. You will be given buddy shifts to allow you to understand our culture, the client and to ease you into the role.
  6. Good communication skills, be initiative and have a can-do attitude.
  7. Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, commitment and a positive attitude
